Your body is changing. Get care made for this moment.
Perimenopause and menopause are real, physiological transitions — not something to push through or simply endure. We offer integrative acupuncture and functional medicine designed specifically for this stage of life: drug-free, consent-based, and built around your individual pattern.
⎯ CONDITIONS WE SUPPORT
Menopause is more than a diagnosis.
Declining estrogen affects every tissue in the body. We treat the full picture — the physical symptoms, the sleep, the mood, and the longer-term health implications most providers overlook.
▸ Hot Flashes & Night Sweats
Vasomotor symptoms are among the most disruptive experiences of the transition. Acupuncture has been clinically studied for its effects on thermoregulation — we target the neuroendocrine pathways driving your symptoms at the source.
▸ Irregular Cycles & Perimenopause
The perimenopausal transition can start a decade before the final period. Irregular cycles, fluctuating estrogen, and breakthrough symptoms are all manageable — and early support results in better outcomes.
▸ Sleep Disruption & Insomnia
Hormonal fluctuations disrupt sleep architecture — not just night sweats, but also the circadian and cortisol rhythms that control how deeply and consistently you rest. We address both levels.
▸ Joint Pain, Fatigue & Weight Changes
Estrogen loss impacts musculoskeletal tissue, metabolism, and energy systems throughout the body. We consider these as interconnected systemic changes — not isolated issues.
▸ Mood Changes, Anxiety & Brain Fog
Estrogen directly influences serotonin regulation. Mood swings, increased anxiety, and mental fog are real physiological effects, not just in your head. We explore the neurochemical and adrenal patterns that drive these changes.
▸ Long-Term Bone, Heart & Cognitive Health
Estrogen supports bone density, heart health, and cognitive function. Proactive integrative care during the transition can significantly influence your health journey in the years ahead.
⎯ HOW WE WORK
A structured course of care — built around your pattern.
Reproductive health responds best to consistent, individualized treatment over time. Here's what care looks like with us.
Comprehensive Intake
Your first visit lasts 90 minutes. We map your complete symptom history — hot flashes, sleep issues, mood swings, menstrual cycles, pelvic health — along with your overall health, lifestyle, and goals. Nothing is rushed or overlooked.
Assessment & Labs When Indicated
When appropriate, we order targeted hormone panels and metabolic labs to create a comprehensive clinical picture. We also review existing labs — many patients arrive with results that haven't been fully explained.
Individualized Treatment Plan
We tailor your care to your unique hormonal presentation — including acupuncture treatments, herbal formulas, supplement guidance, and lifestyle support — each backed by a clear clinical rationale.
Ongoing Tracking & Coordination
We track your progress at each visit and adjust your plan based on your response. We collaborate with your primary care provider or OB/GYN as necessary — your care team works together, rather than in isolation.
Your treatment may include
Acupuncture — clinically studied for vasomotor symptoms, sleep quality, mood regulation, and hormonal balance via neuroendocrine pathways
Herbal medicine — botanical formulas tailored to your individual hormonal pattern, including adaptogens for adrenal support (billed separately)
Functional & integrative medicine — comprehensive hormonal, metabolic, and nutritional assessment when appropriate — beyond single-biomarker testing
Nutraceuticals & supplementation — clinically guided recommendations based on your labs and individual needs (billed separately)
Nutritional & lifestyle support — practical guidance on nutrition, sleep hygiene, movement, and stress management that amplifies every other intervention
Collaborative care — coordination with your primary care provider, OB/GYN, or specialist; our care supports yours, not replaces it
Herbal medicine, labs, and vitamin supplements are billed separately from visit fees — because each is individualized to your specific needs.
⎯ COMMON QUESTIONS
What patients ask before starting
-
Perimenopause can begin as early as the mid-to-late 30s, though most women notice changes in their 40s. If your cycles are shifting, your mood feels different, or your sleep has changed, it's worth an evaluation from your trusted healthcare provider — regardless of your age. We don't wait for a final period to start meaningful support.
-
Absolutely not. While hormone therapy is a safe and effective option for many women, we offer a full spectrum of integrative approaches — acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional support, and lifestyle interventions. We'll discuss all options honestly and respect your preferences throughout.
-
Any recent lab work, a list of current medications and supplements, and a brief journal of your symptoms if you've been keeping one. Most importantly, bring your questions — we want to hear everything that's on your mind.
-
We're currently out-of-network. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds or submit superbills to insurance. Visit our Rates page for current pricing.
-
We typically recommend 8 sessions for a structured course of hormonal support — one comprehensive intake followed by 7 weekly treatments. This allows enough time to build a sustained physiological response and adjust your plan as your body responds. Some patients continue with maintenance care beyond the initial series.
You don't have to navigate this alone.
