⎯ SPECIALTY CARE
Testosterone & Hormonal Health
Care for energy, mood, sleep, and libido changes, for every body.
A gradual shift — not a sudden change.
⎯ WHAT WE TREAT
Testosterone and other hormones can shift over time, often gradually through midlife. The changes are often subtle at first.
Fatigue & Low Energy
Tiredness that rest doesn't fix, and a slow fade in drive and stamina.
Sleep Disruptions
Trouble falling or staying asleep. Some people also notice night sweats.
Brain Fog & Memory
Focus, word-finding, and decisions feel harder than they used to.
Reduced Libido
Changes in desire or performance are physiological, not a character flaw.
Mood Changes
Irritability, low mood, anxiety, or lost motivation. Real, and treatable.
Body Composition
More belly fat or less muscle, even when you're training and eating well.
A structured course of care — built around your pattern.

What patients ask before starting
⎯ COMMON QUESTIONS
-
Yes. Whether your body makes its own testosterone or you take it as part of gender-affirming care, we can help with energy, sleep, mood, and libido concerns. Acupuncture works alongside your hormone therapy, never in place of it. Dr. Motl also offers gender-affirming hormone therapy through our primary care.
-
Absolutely not. While testosterone therapy is a safe and effective option for many people, we offer a full spectrum of integrative approaches — acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional support, and lifestyle interventions. We’ll discuss all options honestly and respect your preferences every step of the way.
-
Any recent lab work, a list of current medications and supplements, and a brief journal of your symptoms if you've been keeping one. Most importantly, bring your questions — we want to hear everything that's on your mind.
-
We typically recommend 8 sessions for a structured course of hormonal support — one comprehensive intake followed by 7 weekly treatments. This allows enough time to build a sustained physiological response and adjust your plan as your body responds. Some patients continue with maintenance care beyond the initial series.
-
No referral is necessary. You can schedule a consultation directly through our online booking system. If your primary care provider has relevant records or labs, we welcome that information to provide the most informed care possible.
-
No. Our integrative treatments are designed to support and enhance your existing medical care, not replace it. We collaborate openly with your healthcare providers to ensure your care is safe and cohesive.
-
That uncertainty is exactly why a consultation is valuable. We take a thorough intake, assess your full health picture, and—when appropriate—run targeted labs to help clarify what's driving your symptoms. You don't need a diagnosis to reach out. If we're not the right fit for you, we'll assist in finding the proper healthcare provider.
