Care that feels like it was made for you.
"Our mission is to offer clinically grounded acupuncture and integrative medicine, rooted in respect, transparency, and collaboration."
We treat the whole person — bringing clinical depth to conditions that are often dismissed, complicated, or simply not given enough time elsewhere. You don't have to navigate this alone.
⎯ HOW WE WORK
What sets our practice apart
Evidence-Informed
We utilize peer-reviewed protocols and integrate Western clinical frameworks with East Asian medicine — particularly in reproductive & hormonal health, pain management, and functional medicine.
Collaborative Care
We collaborate with your current providers, not replace them. With patient consent, we share treatment plans, coordinate care, and act as a trusted partner for referring physicians.
Affirming & Trauma-Aware
All care at our clinic is consent-based, trauma-informed, and employs non-assumptive language about bodies and gender. Every patient is welcomed as they are.
⎯ MEET THE TEAM
The people behind your care
Doctor of Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine
Founder • Clinical Director
Dr. Bustillo helps people feel better in their bodies—especially when symptoms are complex, long‑standing, or affecting daily life. Rooted in East Asian medicine and informed by Western clinical frameworks, his approach looks at concerns from multiple angles to create treatment plans that feel clear, collaborative, and grounded.
He has treated a wide range of concerns, including preventive wellness, dermatologic and digestive issues, with a particular focus on reproductive & hormonal health, fertility support, mental health, and chronic pain—care for bodies that have been through a lot.
Before founding Meaningful Clinic in Eugene, Dr. Bustillo co‑founded and served as Clinical Director of the Integrative Medicine Department at Baylor Scott & White Healthcare, the largest non‑profit health system in Texas. There, he collaborated closely with family medicine and specialists across multiple fields, advised on herb–drug interactions, and supervised physician residents during their integrative medicine rotations.
A dedicated teacher and mentor, he has served on the faculty at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, where he taught physical assessment, integrative treatment strategies, and supervised master’s and doctoral student clinics.
Outside the clinic, Bear is a cosmetic chemist and formulator, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer. He loves yoga and qigong, kettlebell training, drawing, and long hikes with his husband, Sean, their 17‑year‑old dog, Helio, and their cat, Claire.

Dual Board-Certified Family & Lifestyle Medicine
Co-Found · Medical Director
Sean is a dual-board-certified family and lifestyle medicine physician. He aims to provide evidence-based therapies around the core pillars of a healthy life: whole-food nutrition, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, positive relationships, and stress reduction. While he can advise and suggest medications, this isn’t the focus of his practice. He enjoys working with patients motivated to pursue behavioral changes towards a healthier and more wholesome life. He is a yoga practitioner and has a 500-hour yoga teacher certification. He integrates the principles of yoga and Ayurveda into sessions for a holistic approach. He works with clients to develop sustainable practices to deepen their understanding of the mind-body relationship. He enjoys gardening with his husband (Bear!), long walks in nature with his dog, and reading fantasy books with his cat.
Sean is presently employed at the University of Oregon Student Health Center and holds the position of Medical Director at the Meaningful Medicine Clinic. He is not currently consulting with patients.
