Our Clinic Vision
We envision a clinic in Eugene where people feel safer in their bodies, more supported in their health decisions, and more understood by their healthcare provider.
Our goal is not to replace primary care or a specialty, but to be a trusted integrative partner in long-term wellbeing.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide clinically grounded acupuncture and integrative medicine rooted in respect, clarity, transparent expectations, and collaborative support.
Nice to Meet You!
Doctor of Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine
Tiodoso Bear Bustillo, DAOM, LAc
(he/him)
Dr. Bear Bustillo has spent over 15 years helping people feel better in their bodies—especially when symptoms are complex, persistent, or affecting day-to-day life. His care is rooted in East Asian medicine, and he also draws on Western clinical frameworks to evaluate concerns from multiple viewpoints and build treatment plans that feel clear, grounded, and collaborative.
In practice, Dr. Bustillo has treated a wide range of concerns, including preventive wellness, pain management, dermatology, and digestive disorders. He has a particular interest in reproductive health, fertility support, mental health, and chronic pain—care for bodies that have been through a lot.
Before moving to Eugene, Dr. Bustillo co-founded and served as the Clinical Director of the Integrative Medicine Department at Baylor Scott & White Healthcare (BSWH)—the largest non-profit healthcare system in Texas—for more than eight years. In that role, he worked closely with family medicine and specialists across neurology, pain management, physical therapy, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, ob/gynecology, and dermatology. He was also a resource for herb–drug interactions, helping educate physicians on appropriate use, potential side effects, and how to integrate therapies safely alongside conventional care. As a senior-level staff member, he supervised family and internal medicine physician residents during their integrative medicine rotations.
Dr. Bustillo also loves teaching and mentoring. He served as faculty at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas, where he taught internal and physical assessment, integrative treatment strategies, and supervised master’s and doctoral student clinics.
He’s also a cosmetic chemist and formulator, blending botanical expertise with cosmetic science—an interest that naturally overlaps with skin health and product safety.
Outside the clinic, Bear is a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. You’ll find him practicing yoga/qigong, kettlebell training, drawing, or taking long hikes with his husband, Sean, and their beloved 17-year-old dog, Helio. Claire the cat tolerates everyone—once she’s been fed.

He aims to provide evidence-based therapies around the core pillars of a healthy life: whole-food nutrition, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, positive relationships, and stress reduction. While he can advise and suggest medications, this isn’t the focus of his practice. He enjoys working with patients motivated to pursue behavioral changes towards a healthier and more wholesome life. He is a yoga practitioner and has a 500-hour yoga teacher certification. He integrates the principles of yoga and Ayurveda into sessions for a holistic approach. He works with clients to develop sustainable practices to deepen their understanding of the mind-body relationship. He enjoys gardening with his husband (Bear!), long walks in nature with his dog, and reading fantasy books with his cat.
